Smokin Guitar H2O update! Show dates 1 Aug 2026

Did someone say mission complete? Well almost anyways! Rockin the Guitarbige Show piece is pretty much complete. Goes by the name of “Smokin Guitar H2O”

Parts used to complete? Lots of patience effort, time of course and copper. I like Copper! Brazing at its finest, don’t know many who can pull this off. Braze your welds water tight, give it your best shot and see what you get. Frustrated yet? Let me do the hard work and make you an Amazing water piece!

Rockin The Guitarbige Show dates: 1 August 2026, 6-9pm Old Town Eureka

People’s Choice award determines that you the public Art connoisseurs the winner of this years most famous Art award: Bragging rights! Forever and ever. Drinks, snacks and fun available see you there!

Back to work!

Got a little side tracked with the Kinetic Sculpture Race again. Didn’t race but did do some bike riding first day out to Manila and back. June’s Shoe was plaqued with some gear issues. Second day I provided water escort for June’s Shoe. Small chain problem which we fixed and were on our way quite quickly too. Now that the race is history its back to “Rockin the Guitarbige” work.

Kinetic Badass Trophy!

Today I presented a new trophy for the Kinetic Sculpture Race being held this Memorial day weekend. Art piece came about from some sitting around BS’in of old day races and this came out of it. For the Glory!

Kinetic BadAss is the name and will be in some “to be determined” category.

"Green Gate" - functioning water fountain on Redwood chainsaw carving

This big boy was installed 26 Jan 2026, been a few years since I’ve seen or been around this piece. Originally built for my buddy Kenny his cannabis farm (replicate property/farm). This water fountain from time of build till now performs perfectly! No leaks a little squeak from the water wheel but that’s giving life and sound to this piece.

Presently showing at the “Art Center Space” located in old town Eureka 620 2nd street. Stop in and say hi to Monica and Liam and of course the hounds.

Thailand 2026!

Can’t believe another road trip to Thailand, home of smiles. Love the place so mellow, peaceful. Loving people everywhere. Chicken and rice I’m thinking is what’s for chow. Start back in BKK or Bangkok less than 30 days. Think I’ll be focusing on “people draws” this trip. Taiwan people cooking stuff up were contagious sketch objects. Bangkok should be perfect. Chiang Mai another good spot to hang the hat once again. Enjoy the winter in Thailand north.

North Coast Open Studios - Update

Time flies when creating Art. World needs more of it and I do my best. This weekend June 11 & 12, 2022 North Coast Open Studios continues with 2nd weekend of art filled studios. Please stop by and check out some really cool copper sculpture, one of a kind that you will never see anywhere else. See you Sat & Sun 10-5, “the fish guy”.

Copper Quad Art Car

Guess it’s been awhile since I’ve added to my log. Copper Quad copper skinning has been completed entire frame has been primed & painted. Copper skin have all been riveted together. Have experienced a few breakdowns due to the additional weight of the body. Two broken front spokes, wheels in for repairs. Then forward mounting bracket broke. No problem easy fix just need to beef up the weld, good to go! Arts Alive April 6, 6-9pm!

CQ - Build Continues

Sometimes Art takes its time, in this case mine. Copper Quad recently had a Doc appt, a few minor things taken care of. Copper skinning has begun and is taking shape nicely. Stop by for Nov Arts Alive to see for yourself.

Copper Quad - The Build Continues

Who would of known an idea or thought would take this much time and effort. Things are progressing at a fast build pace. Take your time and knock out the small stuff and soon you’re there, done. Well almost. I’ve learned alot on this project and is fun to take a JoyRide around Old Town.
