Can’t believe another road trip to Thailand, home of smiles. Love the place so mellow, peaceful. Loving people everywhere. Chicken and rice I’m thinking is what’s for chow. Start back in BKK or Bangkok less than 30 days. Think I’ll be focusing on “people draws” this trip. Taiwan people cooking stuff up were contagious sketch objects. Bangkok should be perfect. Chiang Mai another good spot to hang the hat once again. Enjoy the winter in Thailand north.
First snippet for the 2nd ever “Rockin the Guitarbige” Art show to be determined where and when. First show in 2019 proved to be a huge success and gained much public attention. Especially with the public voting “Peoples choice award” of some 30 odd guitars.
“Guitarbige” are guitar pieces, mainly the bodies but to include necks as well. These pieces did not make the professional cut in the music world. Some may have little flaws or a tree limb area. Imprefections. Wildwood Mfg in Arcata has given these as a really nice gift. So with that said we will be giving out guitar bodies and necks to those interested in participating in show yet to be determined.
Conditions upon receiving “guitarbige”.
1) Person has to show their artwork at show.
2) Guitar piece CAN NOT be played as a functioning guitar instrument. Each artist is encouraged to apply their magic. At end of show you are free to keep pieces.
Two bodies per person, necks are limited so one neck per person while quantities last.

Though I wasn’t the featured artist for this months Arts Alive at “The Space” I did however serve up a mean cup o vino, toss in a couple frosty ones. Was a good time for sure. Nice to see a large amount of people movement in and around old town. My favorite art piece for this months Arts Alive? Go directly to Morris Graves, upstairs to the right is a Jim McVickor painting. Arts Alive Sep 6, 2025 featured artist now showing at the “Art Center Space”
Sketches consist of my most recent working holiday aboard. First up was Vancouver Island, then Hawaii & finally Taiwan. All good stuff, all good draws.
Feedback was very simple, customer wanted to see an entire line of Hemp Cruisers. Not a problem there. Cars never shown are now in the lineup located in old town Eureka. Front row window viewing, free all dang day and night! Stop by and see for yourself. Take one home is even better. Once their gone, their gone. No others like them.
Holy heck how did that happen? Week ten of the most famous of “Hemp Cruisers” never ever seen in public till now. Get em before their gone, cuz once their gone their gone. Only one the only one. Original art that no one not even me can replicate. Get yours today!

Guess it’s been awhile since I’ve added to my log. Copper Quad copper skinning has been completed entire frame has been primed & painted. Copper skin have all been riveted together. Have experienced a few breakdowns due to the additional weight of the body. Two broken front spokes, wheels in for repairs. Then forward mounting bracket broke. No problem easy fix just need to beef up the weld, good to go! Arts Alive April 6, 6-9pm!
Sometimes Art takes its time, in this case mine. Copper Quad recently had a Doc appt, a few minor things taken care of. Copper skinning has begun and is taking shape nicely. Stop by for Nov Arts Alive to see for yourself.
August ARTS ALIVE is upon us once again and I'll be open, two themed show. "Humboldt Cruzer" my electric moto if you will and recent sketches of people being people. Sharpie and paper you get the jist.
I will be open for biz this month up till Christmas usually at studio by noon. If you have a certain time that works better for you please let me know and I will accomodate. Look for yellow "Open" sign.
Guess the word is out, still some questions on what the proptery at 2nd & C street old town Eureka is being used for. Tons of people showed, many blazing right past me to step inside the Shark Zone. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, some we chatted, some we drank beer others gone like the wind. I will be open around Thanksgiving and day after. Cash is King!

Read MoreBeen a month and half now since I've moved to new digs in Old Town Eureka. Getting adjusted to a new work place has taken some getting used to. New sounds come with it. Might hear a Harley cracking off on the throttle or construction noise. Once I'm in the studio and burning copper I forget where I am and am in the moment. Art is good for the heart and soul, forget about the outside stuff, even just for a little while.
