Making their first appearance are "SweetLip Sam & his pet White Shark", "Mayday Bill" a two person sub on a search and rescue mission, and of course "Snub Nose" one of the smallest subs of all times. Leash the Beast!
/Ever thought about taking a White Shark for a spin, maybe a walk, no maybe a swim? Anyways how does one leash their favorite white shark? I decided on the old fashioned true & tried method of "tail wrapping" shark isn't getting away & you only come away witha severe tail whipping.
Kayaking Day Off = Gone fishin?
/Okay, had to take some R&R and hit the water kayaking yesterday up at Big Lagoon, total perfection! Sunny day, mid 50's no wind and in God's country! Wow is all I can say, okay back to reality. Many new pieces, come get em while their still around!
Blow Fish update
/Many new pieces as of late, mostly in the blow fish category, small, affordable and funny as all hell. How can you pass up on a name such as Sawdust, come on, you gotta love the critter right? Showing presently in Arcata - Ironside Gallery 9th & I and Humboldt Baykeeper, Old Town Eureka. If you have a honkering for something fishy then these are the places to go.
'Roy goes home
/Cowboy Roy was sent to his room yesterday after completing two months duty at the Ironside Gallery located in downtown Arcata, CA. Roy maybe gone but theres still a very well stocked fish tank to feast your eyes on.
ARTS ALIVE - Dec, 2011 Humboldt Baykeeper
/New show is up and running, newly outfitted fish tank, tube coral, red abalone, hammerheads, divers & more. Also new is a "Walk Through Humboldt County" through my fifteen minute sketches, stop on by and say hello, see you there.
Shipwreck Series - Update 1

Shipwreck Series
/Commenced "Shipwreck Series" which will be a series of various vessels that have met their demise and were sent straight to Davey Jone's Locker. First of the series will be shown during the months of Dec 2011 & Jan 2012 at Humboldt Baykeeper located in old town Eureka during Arts Alive December 3, 2011.
2 Red Abalone - Table for 2
/That's right, Abalone, two cruising in their natural habitat. This was the first "bottom creatures" of the seascape piece completed, thus far tube coral & the new and coming "waterless fish tank". More to follow.
Daily Draw - Atop of Eureka
/Yep that's right, finally ripped three sketches today, all atop of Lost Coast Brewery downtown Eureka, excellent weather, have been meaning to sketch this area just hadn't gotten to it so to speak. Today it was done - check this one off thank you!
Daily Draw
/Daily Draw yesterday consisted of going back to my old employer, the USCG. Haven't been back to Station Humboldt Bay in years, felt good being around all those cool nautical things once again. Weather was perfect, my new draw buddy Phil did the south side of the old station house, I took to the eastern side from the water. Second rip was in Samoa, CA, reminded me somewhat of my visit to Nova Scotia, ramshakle buildings, many in need of a coat of paint. Telephone poles/wires EVERYWHERE, at first my thought was to leave them out but thats what made it.

Daily Draw
/Two Daily Draws yesterday before my shift at the Ironside Gallery. With idle time figured I'd put it to good use. Eureka theater was the first of the day, signage is correct and accurate. Then to The Schooner & Shanty.
Four Draw - Great Day for a Draw
/Thanks to my buddy Phil today, we had breakfast, then I challenged him to the elusive "15min Draw". He was game, we busted out four new sketches, one over looking the cemetery of Ferndale. Fernbridge, the only remaining bridge from ALL the NORCAL floods since install, over something like 100yrs. Fortuna & Hydesville, need some hay?
Awesome day! Great draw on all, capture today fore its gone tomorrow.
15 Minute Draw - Bite Style!
/Bite Style? What the hell is that. True story walking along the beach, one woman & her dog she on the cell phone the dog on me literally! Dog jumped and bit me on the left wrist as the woman so politely says to the person she's speaking to "my dog just bit someone", WTF! If you have dogs, maintain them. OUT!!
Cowboy Roy goes North
/That's right, Cowboy Roy, bigger than life grabbed a ride all bundled up in a makeshift rain poncho headed for Arcata, CA. Ironside Gallery located at 900 9th, his present home for the next month. Stop on by and say "Howdy" & drop 2 bits in his shot glass.
Revamped "Aquarium" is BACK!!! All you fish lovers the school recently relocated back to Arcata after a good feed at Cafe Nooner in Old Town Eureka. New on this show is the "Shark Birds", no BS on these boys plus a new and cool defined but moveable waterline.
Then of course theres "Cash Is King", "The Blastinator", "Wally's Secret Stash" & "Driftwood" three buildings, Bank, Saloon, Jail, you get the picture.
